Woolite is an effective way to clean handmade rugs, but there are other options available. Here are some tips on how to properly clean handmade rugs.
Here's how to clean them with baking soda or even with water!
If you're looking for a simple way to clean your handmade rugs, try using baking soda instead of soap. It works just as well, and it won't damage your rug. Simply mix one part baking soda with two parts warm water and use a soft brush to scrub away dirt and grime.
Fill up a bucket with warm water and add some soap.
Then, pour the mixture into a bowl and soak your handiwork for at least 15 minutes. Afterward, rinse off the soapy solution with cold water.
Add 1/2 cup of baking soda or 2 cups of water.
If you want to use baking soda, make sure you add enough to cover the entire surface area of the rug. This will help remove any dirt and grime that has accumulated on the fibers.
Mix it up and pour it over your rug.
To clean your handcrafted rugs with baking soda, mix one part baking soda with two parts water. Pour the mixture onto the rug and let it sit for 30 minutes before vacuuming. Repeat as needed.
Let it sit for at least an hour before vacuuming it out.
If you use Woolite, make sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions. It’s also recommended to vacuum the rug after each cleaning session.
