The Persian Shiraz Qashqai Handmade Rug, measuring 277 x 200 cm (9.09 x 6.56 ft), features a primary color of yellow with multi-coloured secondary accents.
History and Origin: The Persian Shiraz Qashqai Handmade Rug is a testament to the rich heritage of the Qashqai tribes, who are known for their intricate weaving techniques and vibrant color palettes. Originating from the Shiraz region in Iran, these rugs are handwoven by skilled artisans using high-quality wool and natural dyes. The yellow base color of this rug is bright and lively, complemented by the multi-coloured accents that create intricate patterns and designs. Qashqai rugs are renowned for their durability and artistic expression, often featuring geometric and floral motifs that tell stories of the weaver's environment and experiences. This rug not only serves as a functional floor covering but also as a piece of art that brings a touch of Persian culture and tradition into any space.

Choosing the right rug can add warmth, comfort and character to your room. Consider the size, material, colour and intended use before making your selection.
Choose a rug that suits the proportions of your room. In a living room, placing at least the front legs of the furniture on the rug helps connect the seating area. For dining rooms, allow enough space for chairs to remain on the rug when pulled out.
Select colours and patterns that complement your furniture and interior. Neutral rugs create a timeless appearance, while stronger colours and detailed patterns can become a focal point.
Low-pile rugs are easier to maintain and are suitable for hallways, dining rooms and other frequently used areas. Higher-pile rugs feel softer underfoot and work well in bedrooms and quieter living spaces.
Wool rugs are durable, naturally insulating and comfortable underfoot. Silk rugs offer finer detailing but require more careful use. Synthetic rugs are generally practical and easy to maintain.
Vacuum regularly using a suitable low-suction setting, rotate the rug periodically and avoid prolonged direct sunlight. Specialist professional cleaning is recommended for handmade wool and silk rugs.
Handmade rugs may contain slight variations in size, shape, colour and pattern. These natural irregularities are part of the rug’s individual character and are not considered faults.
