Discover the deep heritage of our Red Kazak Rug, sized at 246 x 183 cm (8.07 x 6.00 ft).
Kazak rugs come from the western Caucasus area, home to Armenian and nomadic Kurdish tribes. These rugs are known for their bold, stylised floral designs and vibrant colours like red, blue, green, and yellow. Our Kazak collection features high-quality rugs made with natural dyes and hand-spun Ghazi wool.
The Kazak region, the largest within the group, spans from Erivan in the Armenian Caucasus to Tiflis on the Georgian border, reaching southeast to Karabagh. The Khanate of Kazak produced both thick, high-pile rugs from the mountains and thinner, low-pile rugs from valleys, villages, and settlements, each with unique and recognisable features.
